Virus Protection

Description

The Virus Protection service provides automated Symantec antivirus protection on all centrally-managed Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS client computers used in labs and Faculty/Staff offices. Symantec Antivirus client software is also available for free download and use on their personal computers to all students. IS monitors the centrally-managed client network for virus threats and infections and provides cleanup support via the associated Malware Removal service.

Functionality/Benefits

Virus protection is installed and applied to all centrally managed workstations to protect the Northeastern computing environment and University data from exploitation.

Service is available 24 x 7 x 365, except during planned maintenance and upgrades.
