Research Computing Consultation

Research Computing Consultation assists customers (researchers) with defining their requirements for research computing and assists in the authoring of proposals for research grants. We will also assist in the design and implementation of new systems as necessary to support research initiatives.

The Office of the Provost, in partnership with Information Services, has expanded the high-performance computational resources available to the University research community by establishing the Opportunity Research Computing Environment. This high performance cluster is intended to support the broad and diverse areas of research conducted at Northeastern in the physical, social, life and health sciences, bioinformatics and nanotechnology. The Opportunity cluster provides access to many well known applications, including Matlab, Mathmatica, Maple, SAS, Stata and various Intel and GNU compilers.
