Information Security Regulation and Policy Compliance

The University must be proactively aware of and prepared to comply with a wide variety of federal and state laws, regulations, and University policies with respect to information protection and privacy. The service includes research and analysis of pending and passed legislation, implications for the University community, and supporting policy(ies) to assure a posture of compliance and cost-of-consequence avoidance. These services include development and maintenance of required documentation, as well as training where needed.

Ensure the University attains a posture of compliance with respect to law, regulation and University policy with respect to preservation, protection and defense of information assets and information processing capabilities.

Service is typically available during normal University business Hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. However, in emergency situations, the service is available 24 x 7 x 365.
