Description

The High Performance Computing service hosts and maintains the Opportunity and Zeus high speed, high performance research data processing using a wide range of software packages and compliers.

Functionality/Benefits

High speed, high performance research data processing. Accounts are available to faculty, staff and sponsored students, and a range of priority queues are maintained for the submission of compute jobs. A wide range of software packages and compilers, including MATLAB, C/C++, FORTRAN90, Mathematica, Maple, SAS, Stata are available on the HPC clusters. The clusters also support PVM, MPI and various OGSA-compliant Grid tools.

Information Services also provides second-level system administration support and design/implementation consulting services for HPC clusters hosted by researchers in their own spaces.
