Enterprise Reporting Services

Description

Enterprise Reporting Services provide users with access to enterprise data to be used for both operational reporting and analytical reporting and activities. Requirements gathering and analysis, data modeling, and customizations for reporting are part of this service.

Functionality/Benefits

Banner ODS Database is refreshed daily with Financial, Advancement, and Student data from the Banner OLTP (Transactional) Database.

EZBrio Database is refreshed daily with Undergrad Admissions Applicant, Student, and Accounts Receivable data from the Mainframe Registrar, Admissions, and BRS (OLTP) Transactional Databases and weekly with Coop Student Placement data from the Coop Placepro Database.

Enterprise Reporting Database is updated on predetermined event/stat dates with limited Employee, Student, and Coop Student Placement data from the PS/HRM, Registrar, and Coop Placepro Databases.

Service Level Options

Databases: Read-only. Reporting/Query tool required to access the databases.

Enterprise Reporting Services: Service levels will vary based on the negotiated agreement between the business customer and Information Services.

Hours of Availability

Databases: Banner ODS Database - 24 x 7, except during planned maintenance and upgrades EZBrio Database - Monday-Friday 7:15am - 8:00pm, Saturday 9:15am - 5pm, except during planned maintenance Enterprise Reporting Database - Sunday-Saturday 7:00am - 10pm, except during planned maintenance.

Enterprise Reporting Services: Service is available during normal University business hours of 8:30 - 4:30 Monday-Friday. Resources can be made available for specific projects on a requested basis.

Support

Support is provided by Information Services (IS), specifically the Enterprise Data Service group. Hours of support will vary depending on the negotiated agreement between the business customer and IS. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617-373-4357.

Currently, there is no charge for this service.

Request for Service

Database Access: Access to the Banner ODS Database can be requested by completing the 'Application to Create, Change or Remove Banner ODS' Access Request Form. Access to the Enterprise Reporting Database can be requested by completing the 'Enterprise Reporting' Access Request Form. Access to the EZBrio Database can be requested by completing the 'EZ/BRIO Reporting' Access Request Form. All Reporting Access Request Forms and instructions for completing the forms can be found on the Information Services web site here.
