In order to obtain a copy of the Mac OS X Leopard DVD, you must contact the IS Help Line (x4357) to request your copy.What is the best way to install Mac OS X Leopard?
At this time we are suggesting that a CLEAN install be performed. This requires backing up all of your data to another media source. You can than use the Leopard DVD to perform an Erase and Install to perform a clean install.Can I use the Q: drive as my Time Machine backup source?
No. At this time the Q: drive may not be used as a Time machine backup source. Apple does not support the use of Network drives. An external USB Hard Drive must be used.Northeastern University also does not supply space for unlimited backups, such as Time Machine. What versions of Windows are supported by NEU?
Northeastern currently provides Windows XP Professional (available through the IS Help Line x4357) for use on all NU owned machines. Apple's Boot Camp makes it possible to install Windows XP Pro on your Intel based Mac with Leopard installed. At this time, however, Northeastern does not offer support for multiple operating systems on a single machine.Can I still use Lotus Notes under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard?
At this time IBM does not officially support Lotus Notes and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Although this will be fixed with an upcoming release, we do not support the installation of Lotus Notes under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.We advise Leopard users to install FireFox 2 and use webmail by going to http://www.mail.neu.edu
