Getting Started with BlackBoard

To access Blackboard, you will need:

  • A computer with an Internet connection
  • A Web browser - Firefox 3.x, Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8 (if using IE8, please use Compatibility View for the Blackboard site). Google Chrome and Apple Safari will probably work, but are not recommended for full compatibility.
  • An e-mail account
  • A Northeastern myNEU account

1. Obtain your myNEU account: All current faculty and students must visit http://myNEU.neu.edu to obtain a myNEU account.


2. Students, Faculty, and Staff can log into myNEU. Students can access the link to Blackboard under the Self-Service Tab in the Study and Course Resources section. Faculty and Staff can click the Services and Links tab and click the Blackboard link in the Faculty/Staff Services section.


3. Students and Faculty in the College of Professional Studies may access Blackboard here: http://cpsblackboard.neu.edu
